Win It's All Greek to Me by Andrea Christodoulou book club sets

From debut author, Andrea Christodoulou, comes a hilarious new romance novel filled with warmth, drama and Greek heritage. It’s All Greek To Me is an upbeat and heartfelt debut, a relatable rom-com involving the complications of family, for fans of Mandy Baggot and Cecelia Ahern.
It’s All Greek To Me follows a year in the life of Ismeena Eliades, a thirty-three-year-old singleton who has hit a life stalemate. She’s bored of her job as an administrative assistant in the stuffy corporate legal world, fed up with her dried-up love life, and tired of drinking away her thirties. And then there’s her traditional Greek Mum, and her never-ending ploy to marry Isme off to a ‘Good Greek Boy’ (preferably with a healthy bank balance).

It’s time for a life reboot, and when an opportunity arises for Isme to spend the summer under the sizzling Cyprus sun, she jumps at it in the hope that the time away will give her the head space she needs to evaluate her next move on the chess board of life (and maybe turn her practically translucent skin even a smidge opaque).

But Isme’s hopes for a summer of sun, sea and solace are quickly dashed when the rest of the Eliades clan decide to tag along, and she eventually learns that her mother’s motivations for matchmaking go beyond Greek tradition. And when a family emergency brings responsibility to her door, a marriage proposal materialises that could solve all their problems.
