This planner is for library staff who are offering volunteering opportunities linked to this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Young people who are working towards completing the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award will need to complete at least 3 months of volunteering at an average of one hour per week. This is a suggested structure to help you plan the volunteer’s time, but you may adapt the structure or devise your own to best suit the volunteer and your library.
